Website for Serdar Karibik

No joke: comedy website for a tour

Summary

Comedian Serdar Karibik is loud, funny – and needed a new website. Because tickets (and information) for his new tour “Mein Dschungel” (My Jungle) should sell like hot cakes.

Our partner agency Hochburg Design provided the designs and we provided the WordPress skills. The result is a website that sells tickets, offers competitions and perfectly captures the character of the artist with wild animations and interactive elements. So it’s many things – but no joke (badum-tssss).

The highlights

Dynamic CMS

Specially developed WordPress backend for extremely intuitive event & ticket management.

Custom Motion CSS

Static designs come to life: Complex scroll animations, fly-in tags and striking skew hover effects.

Smart lead capture

Seamless linking of tour visitors with the digital newsletter distribution list.

The challenge

Comedian Serdar Karibiks fills the halls – but his digital stage left a lot to be desired. It lacked a recognizable design DNA and important technical features. While our partner Hochburg Design took on the visual upgrade, our focus was on the technology.

Serdar’s team wanted full autonomy for tour management. Instead of rigid automated interfaces for ticket sales, manual control was required. The team can now adjust tour dates within seconds or set the “sold out” status in order to react flexibly to additional shows and postponements.

Strategy

We translated the visual vision of Hochburg Design into performant code. The static designs came to life through complex front-end development: Menus extend dynamically, tags fly in, backgrounds rotate and buttons tilt when hovering.

In the backend, we built a customized system using custom post types. The goal: absolute independence from external ticket providers. The management team retains full control over the tour schedule. Whether a spontaneous additional show in Göppingen or a lightning-fast “sold out” update for Ulm, they react in real time, control the offer with maximum flexibility and adjust contingents at the touch of a button.

In addition, a smart competition mechanism converts offline guests directly into valuable newsletter leads via a QR code.

"A comedian website should not look stiff. We implemented the design technically in such a way that it feels alive - with rotating and flying elements, but without being overwhelming. The site is now the digital extension of his stage, so to speak."

Result

Serdar’s fans experience a strong character site that brings the “jungle” vibe across interactively. The management is pleased with an easy-to-maintain system that controls ticket sales and efficiently collects leads. A highlight for us: the development went so smoothly that not a single line of code had to be corrected in the end. An implementation that works as well as Serdar’s punchlines.

Surprise! there's more.

And you thought that was it, didn’t you?
